Beijing, 28th May 2011: At the National Congress of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), the Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao laid down the gauntlet to the world by charging CAST with the mission to make China develop power and strength in science and technology. Also, to foster a large number of talented individuals in order to "gain the upper hand" in international competition.
He said:
"China cannot develop without developing science and technology. ...Our future relies on the future of science and technology."
His was a timely and welcome echo of that invigorating teaching of the Holy Quran:
And every one has a goal which dominates him; vie, then, with one another in good works. [2:149]
Is there any other way to achieve and maintain success? What a dynamic, ever-fresh sacred Truth!
China is one of the world's oldest civilizations, having an enviable past as one of the most advanced societies and economies in the world. Today, this once sleeping dragon is showing its glorious head again. Wisely becoming masters of Science and Technology which is key to its progress. The Chinese leadership sees global domination as its birthright. China is leaping forward via the mobilisation of its vast population’s energy, its natural resources and state of the art technologies. Emulating the British in their mastery of international diplomacy, will leap-frog them into their hi-tech future.
As the upcoming superpower, China must use Ahmadiyya Islam to avoid the Chaplinesque tumble that Russia (old USSR) is still trying to recover from. It must also bypass the shaking leg syndrome that is now holding up the USA and the EU. A mad rush to be first should not blind the nation to cause suicidal environmental damage which is the by-product of unchecked industrial growth.
Absolute justice should permeate all plans and strategies. In grabbing unlimited riches, their poor, sick, disabled and elderly should be cared for. China should give genuine fatherly help and support to the poor African nations that it is now discreetly ‘colonizing’ in its insatiable hunger for planet Earth’s natural resources.
The message of Islam for China is that the future is looking bright. The Holy Quran and the heavenly leadership of Ahmadiyya Islam are this country’s most powerful tools to help it find its easiest, quickest and safest path through the 21st Century. Thereafter, the coming centuries could belong to the Benevolent Dragon, but only if it joins with Heaven.

I am glad to read the article. It has greatly impressed me. I live in Norway and soon to join the Jamia. The country in which I wish to do my missionary work will truly be the People's Republic of China.
