Ahmadiyya Muslim's have united in condemnation of the bomb and gun attacks which claimed 76 lives in Norway.

The world Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, who is based at the Fazl Mosque, in Southfields, said the killings served "no purpose other than to destroy the peace of a society and to bring devastation to the nation and the wider world".

London: Reading Recession

Mayday Report: One million Londoners, one in six of the adult population, are illiterate. The root of this problem lies in the early education, or lack of it, in London and across the UK. We know that children from poorer backgrounds are more likely to be illiterate. Figures to be released by the National Literacy Trust reveal that one in three children has not a single book of their own, a figure that has risen from one in four. Those children are two-and-a-half times more likely to fall behind with reading than their peers.
