Health: Moderate Exercise Makes Women Happier
We all know the benefits of cardio and lifting weights, but one question always remains: How much, how hard and how often do we need to workout to reach our goals?
According to Reuters Health, researchers from Penn State University have found that women aged 40 to 60 reported feeling more confident and energized after a half an hour of moderate exercise than those who had a strenuous workout.
We all know that Islam stands for moderation in all aspects of our life and now health ‘enthusiasts’ and researchers are realising that doing things in moderation makes a person feel happy and keeps them healthy. Extremism in any aspect of your life causes more damage than gain, it’s a fact!
So what exercises can women do to keep their heart healthy, happy and pumping? Here are some suggestions:
Sports such softball, volleyball or doubles tennis
Water Aerobics
Biking on level ground or with few hills
Brisk Walking
Yoga
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (on whom be peace) said:
“There are two blessings of which people do not take full advantage: Health and Leisure.”
